It’s a good fat

You probably know this already, but when it comes to food, there are good and bad fats. Coconut oil contains medium-chain saturated fatty acids, which could be considered a form of healthy fat. This type of fat is transformed into energy rather than in into fat cells that accumulate in the body.

Use it to cook, in a pan instead of butter, add to your shakes or to a salad.


Health and metabolism boost

Coconut oil also offers the benefit of boosting both your immunity and your metabolism. Its high levels of lauric, caprylic and capric acids have antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties. The body transforms the coconut oil acids into monolaurin, which is believed to help treat different types of viruses.
